April usually means rain and more rain leading to the beginning of a growing season...planting gardens and flowers and maybe even a new tree.  With this comes the dedication and perserverance to the items we've planted so they remain beautiful like they are intended to be.

Spiritually we need to "be growing" in order to be like God intended us to be.  Just like the growing season doesn't happen in just a few days the growing of ourselves spiritually takes time, discipline and perserverance in order to reach the goal of becoming like Jesus.  Hebrews 12:1 from the New International Versin says "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.  And let us run with perserverance the race marked out for us."  This is exactly what we need to be accomplishing involvement in the race marked out for us with perserverance during this "growing season".

That's why at FCFC we have a saying "We are a group of imperfect people who are worshiping a perfect God and endeavoring to become like Him"  That's our goal so we work at it with our mind focused on Him believing all things are possible.  I would like to invite you to join us at FCFC on Sunday mornings at 10:15 as we collectively worship God through song, listen to the preaching of His Word, fellowshipping with one another, and are reminded of God's unconditional love He decomstrates through salvation that is available because of Jesus.  Please join us so you can experience our loving church family and most importantely Jesus.
