Our Beliefs

Mission Statement

Focusing Courageously on the Future as we serve Christ, evangelizing and making Disciples for His glory.

The Friends Church does not advance new teaching of doctrines. Instead we have sought to rediscover New testament teachings and put new applications to them.

As Friends we believe:

God is our Father.

Jesus Christ is the Word made Flesh for us. (John 1:14)

The Holy Spirit is our comforter, Strengthener and Guide.  (John 16: 7, 13)

The Bible is the written Word of God, inspired by Him.  (2 Timothy 3:16)

A person receives forgiveness through repentance for sins and belief in Jesus Christ as Savior.  (Acts 2: 38)

The mission of the Church is to communicate the Good News of salvation to peoples everywhere.  (Matthew 28: 18-20)

All are called to be ministers. The New Testament teaches the priesthood of all believers, and the real Church is believers, not buildings.  (1 Peter 2: 5-9)

A Christian should seek the filling of the Holy Spirit in his/her life. (Ephesians 5:18)

As believers we are to love one another as Christ love us.  (1 John 4:10)

Water Baptism

Fulton Creek Friends Church believes the Scripture teaches water baptism as an outward and visible sign of an inward spiritual relationship with Jesus Christ. Fulton Creek Friends uses immersion as their mode of baptism. Everyone being baptized is required to attend a baptism class.

Marriage / Weddings

Fulton Creek Friends believes that marriage is the union of a man and a woman into a ‘oneness’ which no other human relationship can have. We believe that marriage should be entered into under a full persuasion that it is a lifelong commitment; thus marriage involves mental, emotional, and spiritual union. Before all your plans are made contact the pastor as he requires six months for the premarital counseling sessions.
